Winterburn looking to end Riders tenure on a high

Holly Winterburn might be one of the younger players in the league, but the Leicester Riders star has already built quite the résumé.

The reigning WBBL Young Player of the Year took MVP honours at the ISF World 3×3 Championships before spending the summer with Great Britain.

The more I think about last year the more I realise how good our team was and how well we performed,” enthused Winterburn.

“The core of the team had been together for three years so it was nice to finally win something and take home the Trophy!

“We have a lot of new players this season so team chemistry is something that is always going to take some time. But we’re making progress everyday and competing in practice.

“I can’t wait to get back on court, begin the season and play against all the new players in the league.

“There’s going to be lots of challenges along the way but I’m excited to see how it goes.

“With this being my fourth and final season in the WBBL with the Riders I hope it will be one to remember!”
