A new challenge awaits for Robyn Lewis this season.
Having spent the previous two campaigns with Caledonia Pride, the Scottish international will suit up for Cardiff Met Archers after the guard agreed to move to Wales.
“My time with Pride was truly unforgettable,” recalled Lewis.
“I was surrounded by great coaches and players and we all grew and learned a lot together.
“Last February’s Cup Final appearance was one of the highlights of my time with the club.
“Although I’ll no longer be a part of the team, I will always be passionate about what the club does for women’s basketball in Scotland and I wish them every success this year.
“When I visited Cardiff, I just really liked the feel of the city and the club.
“It seemed a good move for me; both on and off the court.
“Of course, Stef Collins was a big factor in my decision to sign – she’s been a role model of mine for a long time.
“I think I can learn a lot from her and the other players we have this year.
“We’ll look to be a high tempo team this season – which suits my style of play – so I’m really looking forward to it.
“I’m excited for the season to start.
“This has been the first summer in a long time that I haven’t had any national team commitments so I’m more keen than ever to get back to playing again.
“The league seems to keep getting stronger every year and there have been plenty of eye catching signings made during the offseason.”
