Oaklands Wolves made waves this offseason with a series of high profile signings and the return of several core players.
One returnee looking forward to the new season is rising star Beth Sarson.
“I’m so excited to start the new season,” began Sarson.
“We have some new additions to the team who will bring so much to the programme, along with the existing returnees. I cannot wait to see what we can do collectively as a team.
“Being able to play the game you love with some of your best friends is always something special… I can’t wait!”
“Some of my teammates and I have been fortunate enough to have had a lot of on court sessions with Coach Ryan throughout the offseason, in which we have worked on a range of different skills.
“With shooting the three being one of the strongest areas of my game, improving on that is an aspect I always focus on.
“I have been able to practice a range of game like shots, in game like scenarios throughout the offseason.”
Having narrowly missed out on a maiden Play-Offs berth last season, the side from Hertfordshire enters its third WBBL campaign with a clear goal in mind.
“Last season was filled with ups and downs, but I think overall we took huge steps in the right direction.
“Being able to play against such experienced players and teams allowed us to learn every time we stepped on the court – things which we will take forward with us into this upcoming season,” concluded Sarson.
