Leicester Riders sealed their third straight BBL Championship title after beating Plymouth Raiders on the road.
Rob Paternostro’s side are now unassailable league leaders as they wrap up the title with five games to spare.
“This Championship feels the sweetest of the three,” declared Harrison Gamble.
“At the start of the season nobody was talking about us – people saying our team is too young or there had been too many new players added.
“But as a group we’ve always been on the same page. The ambition of each and every man has remained the same.
“To lift the title having only lost three times and still a handful of games to go is an incredible achievement for the club.
“We’ve managed to maintain a high level at the club, over a number of years. It all starts with the recruitment process and coach Rob (Paternostro).
“Guys here aren’t worried about their personal stats. We do whatever it takes to win and remain united throughout the process.
“We will now have a couple days off to celebrate.
“It won’t be anything too wild as the post-season is just around the corner.
“For us it’s now about remaining healthy and continuing to play good basketball.”
