Richards: we’re ready to avenge Cup defeat

Cardiff Met Archers travel to Caledonia Pride level on points with the Scottish franchise, both teams looking to establish themselves as playoff certainties.

Having already knocked Cardiff out of the Cup, the visitors are acutely aware of the dangers posed by their hosts.

“Caledonia is a tough team who are not easy to beat,” stated Welsh International Chloe Richards.

“We found that out earlier in the season.

“But having only played a couple of games together at the time, I feel we were a little rusty and certainly well below our true potential.

“We are a completely different team now and we’re ready for the rematch. It is a vital game for us and a win puts us in a stronger position for the playoffs.

“As long as we look after the ball, make good decisions and play with poise and patience we’ll give ourselves a great chance.

“After two tough encounters with the top two teams in the league last weekend, a win right now would be a great boost to our confidence levels.”
