NBA London 2018 Preview – By The Numbers

As part of the NBA London Game 2018 presented by Nike, the Philadelphia 76ers will take on the Boston Celtics at The O2 on Thursday, Jan. 11. The game will be broadcast live on BT Sport and BT Sport’s Facebook page using NBA Mobile View, by the NBA’s broadcast partners across EMEA and on NBA LEAGUE PASS International.

The game will mark the league’s eighth regular-season game in London and the Celtics’ second game in the capital, having played a preseason game against the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2007. The 76ers will be playing their second game in the UK and first game in London, having previously played a preseason game in Manchester against the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2013.

Below is a look at additional facts and figures about the NBA London Game 2018 presented by Nike:

1 – The 76ers count two Number 1 Draft picks on their current roster; Ben Simmons (2016) and Markelle Fultz (2017).

3 – The Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, and the Toronto Raptors are tied for the most games played in London with three games apiece.

5 – The 76ers have already played five games in Europe: two in Spain (2006 and 2013), two in Cologne (2006) and one in Manchester (2013) – their record is 3-2.

8 – The matchup will be the NBA’s eighth regular-season game in London.

9 – This will mark the Celtics’ ninth game in Europe, having played three times in Madrid (two games in 1988 and one in 2015), three times in Italy (2007, 2012 2015), once in London (2007) and once in Istanbul (2012).
