Having started the Championship campaign in impressive form, Leicester Riders enter the weekend with a record of 6-1.
The side from Leicestershire reside in third place, six points behind the league leaders. With back-to-back games this weekend, however, the side have a chance to close the gap at the top of the table.
Mollie Campbell has endured a frustrating campaign, having only suited up three times for Riders since the start of the season. A foot injury has kept the British forward on the sidelines since October, but Campbell is very much focused on what the team must do to continue to succeed this season.
“We have to carry on focusing on the task at hand and try to constantly improve our own game,” noted Campbell.
Leicester face Oaklands Wolves on Saturday before travelling to Wales to take on Cardiff Met Archers on Sunday.
“We are striving to win both games this weekend but we have to take one game at a time. It is a very long season and being in and around the top of the table mid-season doesn’t win you any silverware.
“I’m hopeful the team can pull together quickly following the winter break. We have an experienced squad who have played together for a couple of years. That should help us to hit the ground running.”
