Junior Men take silver at Kitakyushu Cup

GB Junior Men’s Team travelled to the home of the 2020 Games, Tokyo to compete in the prestigious Kitakyushu Champions Cup: as they took to court against the host nation, Australia, and the USA.

In their opening game of the 13th Kitakyushu Champions Cup, the GB Junior Men took on Australia in a thrilling battle: the Great Britain team overcoming their opponent’s comeback to secure a 59-47 win. In their second pool game, GB Junior Men put up a gritty performance against the hosts; it was, however, Japan who emerged with a 59-32 victory. In their final pool game, GB Junior Men showed great composure as they took on the USA for a place in the Kitakyushu Champions Cup final – the GB team emerging triumphant with a 62-41 win. The final of the Kitakyushu Champions Cup saw a rematch between the GB Junior Men and Japan; the host nation battling to a 59-47 victory.
