There were four huge games in a WBBL super Saturday as the road to the Barclaycard Arena in the WBBL Cup began and some of the favourites were in action in the WBBL Championship.
Manchester Mystics and Oaklands Wolves progressed through the first round in the WBBL Cup. Mystics overpowered Caledonia Pride 69-48 as Georgia Jones and Jo Clayden shared 32 points, after a defensive clamp down in the second stanza.
Meanwhile, Wolves registered their first win in the WBBL, beating Cardiff Met Archers 81-79 on the road behind 21 points from Kyla Nelson and 16, including some crucial late scores, from Anna Nagy.
In the WBBL Championship, the performance of the season so far saw Ashley Harris pour in 34 points as Nottingham Wildcats beat fellow title contenders Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters 87-85, Siobhan Prior scoring the crucial late basket.
And finally, Leicester Riders maintained their unbeaten start to the season in overcoming Sevenoaks Suns 66-61, with Holly Winterburn scoring 19.
