Esh Group Eagles Newcastle and London Lions have maintained unbeaten starts to the BBL Championship on Sunday, with Cheshire Phoenix and Plymouth Raiders also recording big wins on the road.

Scott Martin scored 16 points and snatched six rebounds to see the Eagles notch a 17th consecutive win over rivals Glasgow Rocks, 82-74, in front of more than 3,000 fans at the Emirates Arena, and join Leicester Riders on a 3-0 start.

While London Lions were dominant in beating Bristol Flyers 86-66 at the Copper Box Arena, and moving to 2-0, behind 24 points from Rashad Hassan, who combined with Kai Williams and Zaire Taylor for 61 of their team’s points.

But performance of the day goes to Marcel Mosley, who powered Phoenix to a massive second half turnaround as they beat Leeds Force 88-68. Mosley hit 30 points, with 23 of those coming in the second half, including 7/10 three-pointers to turn around a 12-point deficit.

Finally, Raiders recorded their biggest ever win over DBL Sheffield Sharks, beating them 95-66 on the road as Donte Nicholas scored 20 and Josh Wilcher added 15 points and 11 assists.
