In what proved to be a tough campaign, Scotland’s U18 Women finished the European Championships Division B in 16th position. Placed in a difficult group, Scotland suffered heavy defeats to Germany (33-86), Bulgaria (43-90) and Sweden (27-90).
With an 0-3 record, Scotland were drawn against Estonia in the first phase of the classification games. Despite a valiant battle and a much improved performance it was Estonia who would triumph (42-68). It was a similar story in Scotland’s remaining fixtures, falling first to Ukraine (41-83) and Bulgaria once more (67-89).
Despite a winless outing, there were plenty of standout performances throughout the campaign. Hannah Robb led the squad in scoring with 9.5 points per game, including a 25 point 13 rebound outing against Bulgaria. Megan Jones led the team in rebounds with 6.8 per contest, including a 13 point 15 rebound outing against Bulgaria, and Alex Henderson earned the most assists (1.7 per game).
