Wales fight hard but finish in 6th place at FIBA Small Countries

It was a tough week for Wales’ Women at this summer’s FIBA Senior European Championship for Small Countries. Unable to record a victory, Wales finished in 6th place. The team’s best performance came in the semi-final qualification game, falling just short to Andorra.

Malta took home the Gold medal, beating Ireland in the final.
