Great Britain extended their perfect start at FIBA U20 European Championship Division B to three games with a 72-58 victory against Kosovo in Chalkida, Greece on Sunday.
Captain Jules Dang Akodo led by example once more with another terrific all-round display, which included 15 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.
Pharraoh Gordon also stepped up in a big way, scoring 17 points in 25 minutes of play.
The win strengthens GB’s standing in Group C, with the top two of six teams advancing to the quarter-finals.
After a cagey opening period, Kapoulas’ side found their feet when quick-fire three pointers from Fraser Malcolm and Dang Akodo sparked an 8-2 run to open up the lead.
In the second half Gordon’s efficient scoring, along with 22 fast-break points as a team, allowed the Brits to maintain their advantage and see out an important triumph.
Great Britain are next in action against Netherlands at 1430 BST on Tuesday.
