Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye out of European Championship with foot injury

Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye has been ruled out of Great Britain’s U20 European Championship Division B campaign due to injury.

The 20-year-old Bradley University guard suffered a foot injury during Tuesday’s final preparation game against Portugal.

With the event set to tip-off on Friday, Lautier-Ogunleye will be replaced by Fraser Malcolm, who was part of coach Andreas Kapoulas’ pre-tournament training camp squad.

Kapoulas said, “Dwayne is a very committed young man. He’s a warrior and I believe he’s a future GB Men’s player.

“These are very unfortunate circumstances, for this injury to take place a couple of days before the European Championship, and we’re going to be helping him through the process of his recovery and making sure he is ready for his NCAA season in October.”
