WBBL 2015-16 Round Up: 2 April

Double-doubles from two of the WBBL’s star players lit up Saturday afternoon with big wins across all three games in the WBBL Championship.

Ashley Harris, WBBL Molten Player of the Month for March, scored 25 points and snatched 14 rebounds as Nottingham Wildcats remained unbeaten atop the league table, beating Cardiff Met Archers 86-55.

But the performance of the day, and possibly the season, came from Baendu Lowenthal, whose monstrous 26 points and 25 rebounds led third-place Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters to a 93-67 defeat of Manchester Mystics.

Finally, Dee Hayward fell just short of those two, with 25 points and 8 rebounds, as Leicester Riders recorded their biggest win of the campaign, 85-51 against Brixton Topcats, and they continue to build momentum ahead of a Play-off charge.
