Toronto Challenge proves tough learning ground for young GB squad

The Toronto Challenge proved every bit as tough as advertised as GB Women took on World Champions, Canada, the USA, and London 2012 bronze medallists, the Netherlands.

With just an average age of 22, GB’s young side equipped themselves well throughout the week and put in some encouraging performances: the highlight coming in the form of a narrow 47 – 41 loss to the hosts.

With just over 150 days to go until the start of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, the GB squad will have no doubt learned some valuable lessons.

GBR 46 – 55 USA
NED 74 – 54 GBR
CAN 47 – 41 GBR
USA 63 – 45 GBR
NED 72 – 46 GBR
