basketballscotland gets new home, sets sights on two full-time National Performance Coaches

Earlier this week, basketballscotland CEO, Kevin Pringle and GB Captain, Kieron Achara attended Scotland’s new High Performance Centre for sport, Oriam to complete the signing of the organisation’s contract which will see basketball benefit as a key tenant of the new centre’s state-of-the-art sports courts.

During the visit to the new facility, based at Heriot-Watt University, in the West of Edinburgh, basketballscotland were given a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility as construction continues ahead of its opening in August of this year.

Oriam will play host to a number of other sports including the SFA, Scottish Rugby Union, Netball Scotland and Scottish Handball.

In another positive move, basketballscotland previously announced it was looking to recruit two full-time National Performance Coaches: one for the Male Team Programmes and one for the Female Team Programmes.
