Andrew Lawrence, who has been a fixture with the national team since 2011, stepped up his rehabilitation from injury at the GB camp this summer having missed the entire 2014-15 season. He is now ready to return to top-level competition after Spanish top-flight club Gipuzkoa Basket made him their first signing of the summer.
Joining Lawrence in the ACB will be GB stalwart Dan Clark. The 27-year-old, who captained his country during August’s invitational tournament in the Netherlands, has been snapped up by Morabanc Andorra after spending last season with Montakit Fuenlabrada.
Closer to home, GB captain Drew Sullivan has re-joined Leicester Riders of the BBL after winning his 100th cap for his country in July.
Zak Wells made his GB debut against the Netherlands and will continue his rapid development in the BBL with Leeds Force, going back to the club where he began last term before suffering a serious injury last October.
Myles Hesson‘s impressive upward curve continues too, after swapping Bremerhaven in Germany for French Pro-A outfit JDA Dijon.
Christian Behrens and Chris Caird will tip-off their professional careers with WBC Wels (Austria) and FSU Selfoss (Iceland), respectively.
And in Greece, Justin Robinson and Ovie Soko are set to become club team-mates at top-flight side Trikala BC, with Fahro Alihodzic joining ASP Promitheas Patras of the second division while Ben Mockford returns to Spanish LEB Gold club Caceres, where he started last season before joining Plymouth Raiders.
Ali Fraser (Tarragona) and Joe Hart (Araberri) will also be in Spain, competing in LEB Plata.
